Congratulations to Alton College Foundation Learning student Ben Tyler on winning a bronze medal in tennis at the Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi. Also congratulations to Alton College student Tom Andrews who has been selected to represent the UK at Worldskills in Russia later this year in the Electronics discipline.
This week Coomers celebrated 2 years since launching their app for Trade Card and Credit Account holders and have written a blog about artificial grass. Eggar’s School raised a total of £976.99 for Comic Relief. Alton School Year 7 pupils met British entrepreneur Richard Browning who has created a jet propelled wearable suit that uses several miniature jet engines to achieve vertical flight!
Brendoncare joined AltonHampshire.co.uk. Scott 2 Go cry ‘Don’t get your knickers in a twist!’ as they delivered 100 boxes of lingerie this week.
Alton Rugby Club volunteers were recognised at East Hampshire Sports Awards - Tom Mills, Ashley Hamer and Amy Sly win top awards as well as Alton Cricket Club under 16 girls winning Team of the Year.
